Compulsory Purchase Orders

commercial property law

Compulsive Purchase Orders are usually used by councils to buy up land for purposes of development or redevelopment. we are very skilled in acting for the council or developer to produce a CPO or, instead, the property owner who has been issued with one.

In drawing up a CPO, we will advise on the proposals for the purchase, negotiate on price and liaise with independent surveyors and council lawyers.

In acting for a client who has received a CPO, KBL will aim to secure a fair price for their property and/or business and will liaise with council lawyers to document the settlement reached.
